St. Mark’s has participated in the Westford Community Gardens since they opened in May of 2015. The gardens are beautifully situated on an expanded 1.7 acres of land just around the corner from St. Mark’s. Since they were established, the gardens have cultivated as much community as they have vegetables. We have one of over 150 plots there. All of the harvest from our plot is donated to the Westford Food Pantry.
We have an able group of volunteers who tend our plot at the gardens from roughly May through early October every year. We welcome additional volunteers to help with the planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting. This is a great activity for families with young children.
