At St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Westford, MA, outreach is a vital part of our mission to serve the community with compassion and love. Each month, we focus on a specific outreach initiative aimed at addressing urgent needs in our local and regional communities. From collecting essential items for those experiencing homelessness to supporting food drives and social justice efforts, our congregation comes together to make a meaningful impact.

We invite everyone to get involved by donating items, contributing funds, or volunteering their time. These monthly outreach efforts are an opportunity to live out our faith through action, supporting our neighbors, and building a stronger, more caring community. No matter the size of your contribution, every effort makes a difference.

Outreach for January 2024: Episcopal City Mission (ECM)
Our January Outreach box will go to
Episcopal City Mission (ECM). ECM is a Social Justice agency of the Episcopal Church. The Rev. Edwin Johnson was our supply priest on December 15th.  Edwin is the Director of Organizing and works with congregations to gather support for Social Justice initiatives both in Boston and throughout the Diocese.  ECM has given grants to the Merrimack Valley Project for its Social Justice initiatives across the Merrimack Valley.  Eric Kintner has been very active in MVP for years.  Please give generously.

Outreach For December 2024: Gloves for the Unhoused

St. Paul's Soup Kitchen is conducting a drive in December for articles of warm clothing and toiletries for the people they serve in Lowell, as we get into the colder months. St. Mark's has decided to provide gloves, with a goal of providing 50 pairs. They can be new or gently used.  We welcome donations of gloves as well as money to buy gloves. The donations made to the Outreach box at the front of the sanctuary in December will go towards purchasing gloves.  We will also have a box in the narthex for collecting gloves, and a bin outside the entrance to the admin wing where you can drop off gloves when the church isn't open.
