Transition News

  • Rev. William Bergmann and the Vestry have signed the Bridge Priest agreement. His first Sunday with us will be September 10. Rev. Bergmann will be with us on the 2nd and 4th Sundays for Holy Eucharist and at Trinity Chapel on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. Rev. Melissa Buono, who served us over the summer, will fill in as a supply priest on the 1st Sundays in October, November & December. Lay leaders will conduct morning prayer on the third Sundays. 
  • Rev. Martha Hubbard will visit St. Mark’s on Sunday, Sept. 3, to lead a joint worship service with Trinity Chapel. She will also update the Vestry and other interested parishioners on the process for calling a Priest in Charge. The discernment process will involve surveys, discussions, and the creation of a Parish Profile. In addition, we will be working with the diocese and Trinity Chapel on the nature of our collaboration going forward. 
  • Using this information, hopefully, by the beginning of 2024, the Diocese will present us with a candidate for a Priest in Charge. We then decide whether this candidate is right for St. Mark’s.
