Soup’s On!
Since 1995, St. Paul’s Soup Kitchen has been providing free meals in Lowell, and St. Mark’s was there from the beginning, providing meals and financial support. The organization provides a hot meal five nights a week, and it relies on grants and donations to provide the service its patrons depend upon. Expenses include staff, rental of the hall and commercial kitchen at the Eliot Church where the meals are served, and supplies. It costs approximately $150 to serve each meal, on top of what volunteer organizations like St. Mark’s provide.
For the month of October, we are designating all donations made in the Outreach box at the front of the sanctuary to go to St. Paul’s Soup Kitchen. Please give generously!
